Welcome to my collection.
Recent Acquisitions: I have been concentrating on harder higher end cars. Some in BP and some loose.
Latest Additions:
1.) Purple over Pink Cord - I took a chance and bought this on eBay. I was really worried because the seller was not a typical redline seller and appeared to restore real Corvettes as a business.
2.) NGK - Green Looks like chrome over the paint. Will post pictures when i get more time.
3.) Six Shooter - Yellow. Purchased in a collection. Nice but minor toning on the hood is starting to get to me.
4.) Beach Bomb - Olive Purchased from Beach Bomb Jim as he was getting out of the hobby.
5.) Beach Bomb - Brown Purchased from Beach Bomb Jim as he was getting out of the hobby.
6.) Heavy Chevy - Red over chrome. This baby shines like a Redline Club Car of 2002 that Mattel sells today but it is a genuine redline made in 1970.
7.) Beach Bomb - Yellow. This was purchased from a fellow Redline Guy in our club. He too was getting out of the hobby to buy a real hot rod.
8.) Cougar - Purple. US casting. This beauty is a darker shade of purple and is a toughy!
I have been collecting redline Hotwheels since 1998. I started with the new stuff and gradually migrated towards the "minty stuff", redlines. I only had a few as a kid. The only ones I have today from my childhood are Funny Money and a few enamel ones from the early 1970's. They are all beat-up because they went through me and my 2 younger brothers. As a kid we lived in Singapore, a British colony, so we have even more Matchbox and Majoretes cars from our childhood. I don't know what drives me to the attraction of these little gems, but they are sure fun to collect. I have made a bunch of new friends through this hobby and some of my best friends are collectors. I hope you all enjoy the site.
Any suggestions to improve the site would be much appreciated.
Thanks & happy hunting!
